: Peugeot Sportscar Edges Closer : PartSmartSA July 15, 2009, 07:37:53 PM Peugeot pulls the covers off its new sports car at the Frankfurt show, two years after wowing crowds with the 308 RCZ concept.
Along with releasing a host of teaser images of the new sports car, Peugeot also revealed the car's official name. Called RCZ, this will be the first Peugeot to not use the usual zero or double zero numbering system. One of the key considerations when transforming the concept into a viable production vehicle was to keep as much of the original styling as possible, the manufacturer said. Peugeot sees this 2+2 Coupe occupying an exclusive spot in the product range. It will likely be powered by the range-topping petrol and turbodiesel engines in the Peugeot stable. More details will be revealed when the car debuts at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show. The RCZ will be sold in certain markets from early 2010. |
